Build a team in the planning phase, place your Pokémon on the field, then let them battle automatically. Your trainer level sets how many Pokémon you can field.
Kanto Tactics turns a trip through Kanto into an autobattler. Einoow’s campaign description runs from eight gyms to the Elite Four. You choose the team and formation before the fight; the Pokémon handle the attacks. Start at the developer’s game, then use its Guide whenever a card or type bonus is unfamiliar.

Use Einoow’s Kanto Tactics page. The developer announced the game on October 14, 2026 and supplied that free-play link. This wiki is an independent guide. The game is an unofficial fan project; its creator disclaims affiliation with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company and Riot Games.
Keep the game in its original browser location when you come back. Its Guide says progress is saved in that browser. Clearing the site’s data or using private browsing can wipe that local progress. Our browser and multiplayer guide explains that distinction before you switch devices.
Use the shop, bench and field differently
The shop is where you buy Pokémon. The bench holds reserves; the field is the team that fights. A reserve on the bench does not contribute to a type synergy. Your trainer level is the number of Pokémon you can put on the field, according to the game’s Guide.
If you want another active teammate, check your level and available field slots before buying more reserves. Buying XP raises your trainer level; refreshing the shop changes your buying options. Those are different decisions. Read the current costs in the game before spending your gold.
Arrange the team before starting a fight so you can choose which Pokémon fight and where they stand. Nothing on this page requires a particular starter or an unverified “best” composition.
Count different Pokémon for type bonuses
Each different Pokémon on the field contributes to its types. Reach the tier shown in the game to activate that type’s bonus. Putting another copy of the same Pokémon on the bench is therefore different from fielding another distinct member of the type. Check the type display before assuming a bonus is active.
The Guide also separates basic attacks from abilities. Basic attacks charge Energy; abilities trigger automatically when Energy is full. Type effectiveness applies to abilities, while basic attacks ignore type matchups. A familiar Pokémon name alone does not tell you how every attack will behave here.
For a first run, make one change at a time: add a different Pokémon to a type you already field, check whether its tier activates, and compare the next battle. This is a way to read the game’s feedback, rather than a promise that a particular lineup wins.
Upgrade what you own before chasing a tier list
Three identical copies merge automatically and raise the unit’s stars. When a copy on the field is fighting, its merge waits until planning resumes. That delay can look like a failed evolution if you buy the third copy during a battle.
If equipment is on the wrong teammate, a Magnet can return all of that Pokémon’s items to your bag without selling it. Two components placed on one Pokémon can combine automatically, so check the item recipe table before placing them. The evolution and items guide covers these operations together.
Your next useful reference is the game’s own Guide: its Pokémon, Types, Items and Basics tabs explain the cards currently in the game. Use those current entries for exact stats and recipes. This launch-week guide focuses on the decisions that help you understand your first team.

Quick questions
Do I control each attack?
No. Kanto Tactics is an autobattler: arrange the team before combat, then attacks and charged abilities happen automatically.
Do Pokémon on the bench count toward a type bonus?
No. The Guide counts different Pokémon of that type on the field; bench reserves do not count.
Does the normal Pokémon type chart apply to every hit?
No. The Guide applies type matchups to abilities. Basic attacks ignore types.
